Real Estate Startup About Blurb

Bedrock Real Estate is founded on one simple idea: real estate in New York City should be focused on the customers, not the brokers.

Thanks to the democratizing power of the internet, the way we do business is changing. Industries across the board are adapting to revolutionary new direct-to-consumer services that place the individual above the corporation. New York real estate should be no exception.

That’s why our founder, Pebbles Flintstone, created Bedrock.

Pebbles has been tackling the challenging world of NYC real estate for most of her life -- her mother, Wilma Flintstone, is a twenty-year veteran power broker and Pebbles got her first license at the age of 18. Now she’s one of the youngest power brokers in the business. She’s spent years with two of the top modern brokerage firms in the city and seen firsthand the way technology is changing what is possible.

Where once brokerage firms were the sole gatekeepers of who had access to listings and what each buyer saw, now online real estate marketplaces allow anyone to search for their new property with the click of a button. Why then are transactions between buyers and sellers still so encumbered by third parties? Why are customers paying higher commissions to support an obsolete system? What is the role of the gatekeeper now that the gates are open?

These are the questions Pebbles asked herself.

Bedrock Real Estate is her answer.

Woman-Led Theatre Artistic Statement

“Here at Calamity Jane Theatre Company, we believe in a lot: ourselves, our collaborators, art’s place in society, the importance of a supportive community, and, of course, the power of a good story. This is why our mission is to lift up the narrative above all else, supporting it with perspective, courage, humanity, and a full spectrum of voices. There is no acting so flashy, no directing so clever, no tradition so untouchable that it deserves to overshadow the story itself. In pursuit of that principle, CJTC is committed to a true ensemble of artists on and off the stage, to learning and growing together in life and in art, and to seeking truth and magic in a well-told story.

So whether we’re telling tall tales around a campfire with the stars overhead, sharing our favorite plays with you from a well-lit stage, or creating new work with our favorite multifaceted artists, the Janes’ credo is always the same:

Calamity Jane Theatre Company: In Service of the Story”
